About the Corporate and Banking Team
Vice President, Partnership Development, Workforce Education Solutions
Joe Patterson is the Vice President of Partnership Development for the National University System. He leads the Workforce Education Solutions teams supporting partners in Corporate & Banking, Healthcare, K-12, Public Safety, and Community College sectors. Joe has held multiple leadership roles in higher education since 2005 leading global business development, account management, enrollment, marketing, and operations teams for a variety of universities, most notably Thunderbird School of Global Management, Concordia University – Portland, and NYU’s Steinhardt School of Education. At Thunderbird, Joe led all executive education and custom corporate activities in North America, South America, and Asia. Joe’s work with corporate clients took him to more than 20 countries on 4 continents, including Brazil, Russia, India, and China. Prior to working in higher education, Joe held operational leadership roles in the pharmaceutical and financial services industries including McKesson and Discover Card. Joe holds a Global MBA and Executive Certificate in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a B.A. in English from Arizona State University. He is also an alum of Penn State University’s Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning.
Director of Corporate Partnerships, Workforce Education Solutions
Anthony Pineda currently serves as the National University System Director of Corporate Partnerships. He leads the Corporate and Banking business development team and supports the management of our corporate relationships. Anthony has worked in higher education since 2010 in multiple roles including advising, enrollment, operations, and online contact center management. Prior to working for National University System, Anthony was the Pre-Qualification Center Director at National University. At National University, Anthony managed the prospective student inquiry volume, response time, and inquiry distribution throughout the regional and online enrollment centers. Growing up in a small agricultural town, Anthony is passionate about economic mobility by partnering with businesses to provide educational opportunities to the workforce. He also serves on the council for Social Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at National University System and is a staff advisor for the student organization, Pride@NU. He spent 3 years working in banking, through frontline and contact center banking roles, while completing his Associates Degree from Yuba Community College and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University Northridge. Anthony also holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from Ashford University.
Account Manager, Workforce Education Solutions
Jessica Godinez is the account manager for National University System’s corporate partnerships team. She supports the corporate and banking education partnerships, developing opportunities for her partners and their employees to explore degree paths and options for higher education. She’s worked with National University since 2017 where she started out as an enrollment advisor in the admissions office and later joined the workforce solutions team . She’s very familiar with the admissions process, student retention and partnership development and implementation. As a first-generation college student, she’s passionate about higher education and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to pursue their educational goals. Prior to working in education, Jessica worked in the healthcare industry in recruiting and human resources, as well as roles across the customer service industry. Jessica received her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from National University in 2020 and has BA in English Language and literature from San Diego State University.
